Wolf Creek Public Schools Celebrate Education Week

For Immediate Release: April 28, 2017

A representative from both the Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) Local #3 and the Board of Trustees worked jointly to plan the celebration of this year’s Education Week (May 1 - 5, 2017) in Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS). In conjunction with acknowledging Education Week, the ATA and Board have committed to co-sponsor the fees for two Bright Futures Play Academy students for the 2017-2018 school year.

“When I was told I was getting help with the fees, I nearly cried. I have four children who have all been diagnosed with speech delays. It’s hard to help each of them as a busy mom. My daughter has received so much help in the Bright Futures program and it has been amazing”. ~Bright Futures parent~

My daugher has learned to interact with others and made so many friends this year. The teacher and her educational assistants have been wonderful. I am so thankful to see children learning manners and listening skills. Families are so busy these days, it’s great that my child is learning these things at school, too”. ~Bright Futures parent~

The ATA Local along with the Board of Trustees and the Division Office Team would like to acknowledge all stakeholders during Education Week. This year’s theme is ‘Learning is a Journey’ and each day during Education Week, we will be celebrating the people who are at the heart of education in WCPS. Be sure to tune in to Sunny 94 where we will be acknowledging all of the various people involved in making the education system a successful journey.

WCPS and the ATA Local are committed to the learning journey and will continue to support and guide our students along the way. When thinking about our schools and education, Wolf Creek knows that there are many outstanding people who work together to help students be successful on their learning journey.
