Wolf Creek Student Voice Survey Results

for immediate release: June 13, 2017

Student Voice is a top priority for the Board of Trustees. In order to maximize student feedback and engagement; this spring Wolf Creek Public Schools invited all grade 9 and 12 students to participate in a thoughtexchange ®  process. Thoughtexchange is an online tool that allows participants to share their thoughts on their school experiences, successes, challenges and what's important to consider for the future.

This initiative is an endeavor by the Board to gather our students’ feedback in order to inform our Board, district and our school leaders about our students’ thoughts related to their education in Wolf Creek. The students can expect all feedback to be reviewed and considered and that by providing quality feedback, they can make a real impact on Wolf Creek. Not only is this a way to express ways to improve, but also an opportunity to celebrate their school and what is working well.

We're now ready to share what they told us. 734 students shared 2,222 thoughts and assigned 55,820 stars to the thoughts they liked. We encourage students and stakeholders to spend some time looking at the results. Wolf Creek staff including principals, the Board, and the Superintendent have already started to consider ways to improve our schools and guide thinking around plans heading into the new school year and future directions in Wolf Creek Public Schools.

Mr. Bob Huff, Trustee for Lacombe/Blackfalds and Chair of the Student Voice Committee, along with Mr. Jayson Lovell, Superintendent of Schools would like to thank these students for being part of this important process, and wish everyone a great summer!
