Honouring National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, across all Wolf Creek schools, we pause to remember. We engage. We honour. We listen.
Reconciliation is not a single event — it is a journey. In our schools, we will hold space for important conversations, for learning from Indigenous voices, and for honouring those impacted by the legacy of residential schools. We will walk the path of truth together.
One powerful symbol we share today is the empty chair — representing the children and community members who never returned home from residential schools. In a message shared by Josephine Small, Indigenous Education Learning Support Coach, she reflects on that empty chair — on the absence, the loss, and the need for presence and remembrance in our communities.
