Brian Grocholski Appointed Assistant Principal of Alix-MAC School

Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Grocholski as the new Assistant Principal of Alix-MAC School, beginning in the 2025/2026 school year.
Grocholski is a dedicated and innovative educator with more than 21 years of experience supporting K–12 learners in a variety of school settings. He brings a strong foundation in instructional leadership, student engagement, and inclusive education practices, along with a deep commitment to fostering positive school culture. Brian has taught at Alix-MAC School since 2014 and has played a key role in advancing literacy, student leadership, and experiential learning within the school.
“Brian brings a student-focused, team-oriented mindset to everything he does,” said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. “His long-standing service to the Alix-MAC community, combined with his passion for creativity and strategic leadership, make him an ideal fit for this role. We’re excited to see his continued impact in this new capacity.”
Grocholski holds a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leading from the University of Regina (2023), with a focus on strategic planning and data-informed decision-making. He also holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Education (Arts Education) and Arts (Theatre major, Dance minor).
At Alix-MAC School, he has implemented the Great Leaps reading program to support junior high literacy, co-led the student leadership program, and helped develop junior and senior high outdoor experiential learning initiatives. His previous teaching experience includes roles at Rimbey Junior Senior High, Harry Collinge High School in Hinton, and schools in northern Saskatchewan and Alberta.
“I’m incredibly honoured to take on this leadership role in the Alix-MAC School community,” said Grocholski. “This school is filled with inspiring students and dedicated staff, and I look forward to working alongside them to continue building a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.”
Grocholski is a graduate of the WCPS Aspiring Leaders program and is trained in SIVA holistic safety planning and trauma-informed practices.
