WCPS honours Wisdom and Guidance Committee parents and students, presents ASBA Indigenous Student Awards

Wisdom and Guidance Committee members Leanne Louis, parent; and Lori Buffalo, student, accept the WCPS Friends of Education Award for 2019 on behalf of parents and students of the committee June 6, 2019, from WCPS Board Chair Pam Hansen.

Also at the Board meeting, Ryland Mendoza, Grade 8 student at Ponoka Secondary Campus is presented with an ASBA Honoring Spirit Indigenous Student Award. She played basketball, volleyball and triathlon at PSC this year.

Tristan Young, Grade 12 student at Ponoka Secondary Campus is presented with an ASBA Honoring Spirit Indigenous Student Award. Young completed a semester in the SWAC program (School Within a College), took second place in Skills Canada for welding, and will be graduating at the end of this year.
