Honouring National Indigenous Peoples Day

Today, and every day, Wolf Creek Public Schools acknowledges and celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across Canada.

Across the division, students and staff have taken part in events and programming that honour Indigenous culture through art, dance, music, language, land-based learning, and storytelling. These celebrations reflect our shared commitment to truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

We recognize that our schools are situated on Treaty 6 territory, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and walk alongside Indigenous communities.

Let today — National Indigenous Peoples Day — be a time to listen, to reflect, and to celebrate the richness and resilience of Indigenous cultures.
