Kayley Bowie appointed Iron Ridge Secondary Campus Assistant Principal

Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kayley Bowie to the position of Assistant Principal of Iron Ridge Secondary Campus (IRSC).

Bowie has been teaching at Eckville Jr. Sr. High School since 2019 and prior to that had teaching experiences in the United Kingdom and at Crestomere School. She is a master teacher who holds high expectations for students while supporting and celebrating their diversities. Bowie has also completed the Aspiring Leaders program. 

“Kayley is an amazing educator and I am excited to have her join the leadership team of Iron Ridge Secondary Campus,” said Ed Coles, IRSC Principal. “I am confident that her student centered, collaborative approach will be instrumental in forging meaningful partnerships within the Blackfalds community and beyond.” 

In her experience as an educator, Bowie has worked to establish a school environment that celebrates diversity where all students feel welcome and cared for. She is committed to advocate for students and staff in developing a sense of collective responsibility in meeting the social, emotional, and learning needs of all of our students.

“I am honoured and excited to be part of the Iron Ridge Secondary Campus team. The opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new school is a rare privilege, and I am eager to collaborate with staff, parents, and the wider community to create an environment that contributes to the success of all students,” said Bowie.

Iron Ridge Secondary Campus is Blackfalds’ first high school and is currently under construction. It will open in September 2024.
