WCPS marks Orange Shirt Day

Wolf Creek Public Schools recognized Orange Shirt Day across the school division on Sept. 30. Sharing of resources and conversations with students were a large part of the day's activities. Wearing orange shirts is about making the commitment to learning the true history of residential schools. Wearing orange shirts is to honor all First Nation, Metis and Inuit children who were taken away from their families to attend residential schools across Canada, and especially to the many who did not survive. Thank you to all the staff and students from schools and division office who wore orange shirts to send the message that Every Child Matters.
