Home Education

Home Education Philosophy and Goals

Wolf Creek Public Schools staff are dedicated to ensuring that each student has access
to a quality education based on Alberta Education guidelines through:

  • Cooperative planning;
  • New assessment and portfolio strategies for reporting student progress;
  • Modifying programs to meet specific needs;
  • Providing appropriate programs and resources; and,
  • Positive feedback and communication.

Traditional External Home Education Programs: Parents choose their own program using a variety of resources. Support is given for finding an external program.

Blended Program: Parents and the Home Education program of Wolf Creek Public Schools share the planning, delivery and assessment of the student.

Alberta Distance Learning: Parents access courses through the Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC), both in print format and online.
